Seasons are groups of Episodes which are periodically released for Minecraft: Story Mode. Currently, there are two seasons (with Season 1 having three extra episodes).

- On June 2, 2017, a leak from the Australian Classification Board by a very trusted source revealed that Telltale Games had filed for a rating and received a PG rating for the first episode of a Season 2 of MCSM.
- Sometime between June 2nd, 2017 and June 6, 2017, there was another leak this time from the New Zealand Classification Board revealing that Telltale filed or is filing for a Season Pass Disc of Season 2.
