A Piston is a Redstone component found in Minecraft: Story Mode. When powered, it can push blocks in front of it.
Appearance[]
- In "A Block and a Hard Place", Jesse combines a Piston and a Slimeball on a Crafting Table to make a Sticky Piston. They can later choose to build an invention that uses pistons.
- In "Access Denied", several pistons have been used to hide the entrance to Harper's secret lab.
- In "A Journey's End?", there are some piston traps in some of The Games.
- In "Hero in Residence", Jesse can be hit by a piston in Beacontown.
- In "Giant Consequences", Jesse can be determinately hit by a piston if the player fails in the shooting gallery.
- In "Above and Beyond", Jesse can be hit by the same piston in Beacontown.
Trivia[]
- Many of the machines in Redstonia involve Pistons.
- In Minecraft: Story Mode, many different traps and secret entrances possibly use pistons and/or sticky pistons.
- In Jailhouse Block, the trap that was set to keep Xara held prisoned has sticky pistons connected to obsidian. In Jesse waits too long to pick Nurm or Lluna to stay behind and Xara brings them, when Jesse leaves, the trap will set off.
- In Minecraft, obsidian cannot be moved by a piston, neither a sticky piston.
- A fully-extended piston arm seems to be longer than a piston box. Notch explains that the arm is telescopic.
- The extended arm can also block water/lava flow.
