The Dragon Egg is an item in Minecraft: Story Mode. It was dropped by the Ender Dragon upon death.

Appearances[]

In "A Block and a Hard Place", Soren and Jesse find a dragon egg inside Ivor's Cottage. Soren explains that the The Order of the Stone obtained the dragon egg during their final mission together. Later, Jesse uses it to solve a puzzle inside Ivor's laboratory.
In "Order Up!", the dragon egg can be seen on display inside the Order Hall.
In the "Hero in Residence" and the "Below the Bedrock" teasers, the dragon egg can be seen inside the Order Hall.

In Minecraft: Story Mode, Jesse can pick up the dragon egg directly.
- In Minecraft, the dragon egg cannot be picked up unless the player pushes it using a piston or placing a torch underneath the block the egg is sitting on and then destroying the block.
It is unknown how the dragon egg was retrieved from Ivor's cottage for display in the Order Hall, as it had been dropped into a hopper that presumably led to a different mechanism.
