"Craft My Story" is a pair of sitcom-esque videos on the website craftmystory.com. These shorts are made to introduce new players to the importance of choices in Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2.

Plot

"Craft Your Own Adventure!"

The video begins with a clip of the episode "Hero in Residence", leading to Jesse's decision for the choice "Did you assist Jack with Prismarine Foes or help Petra save her beloved sword?" A redirect to a new video is placed for each possible choice.

"Choose Jack!"

If the viewer clicks "Choose Jack!", the video plays the in-game scene of Jesse saving Jack, Nurm, and "Vos", defending them from the Prismarine Foes. All four of them jump into the water, and it cuts to Petra's sword, Miss Butter, about to be destroyed by Romeo in his Prismarine Colossus form. The sword is broken, and Petra falls into the water.

The director says "Cut!" and gives them a 10-minute break. It cuts to Jack speaking in a British accent, talking to an unnamed person on-set. The director reminds Jack that he is on camera, and Jack switches back to his normal accent. Jack thanks the viewer for saving him, and says that he was "clearly the superior choice." He talks about how the decisions of the player affect the story around them. He tells the viewer that they may have seen pictures of him with an eyepatch, but since they saved him, it is not the case.

Petra talks to Jack and ends up arguing, saying that not everyone chose to save him. Jack goes on about how he believes that, statistically, everyone who chose him is very "smart and charismatic." Petra then argues they picked him "one time" and that it was his first episode, so it is "beginner's luck." She says it was a "pity choice" because of him being "old." Jack acts offended and walks off. He begins taunting Petra for saying that he is old, saying he "can't hear her because of his 'old ears'." He then continues going on about how the player's choices affect the game. He says he thinks it's "pretty lit," and he used the slang because he is "hip," no matter what "some people (Petra) say." He ends with saying, "Choices matter. Jack out." Petra begins telling him she said she was sorry, and the short ends.

"Choose Petra!"

If the viewer clicks "Choose Petra!", the video shows the in-game scene of Jesse saving Petra and her sword, Miss Butter. The two of them jump into the water, and it then cuts to Jack being knocked off the edge by a Prismarine Foe.

As Jack, "Vos," and Nurm also jump into the water, Jack comments about how his bad eye was taken out. The director announces, "Cut!", telling the cast to prepare for a big scene with the Admin. It then cuts to Petra, who thanks the player for their choice to save her. She then begins to explain the benefits of making such a choice: because the player made this choice she has really good feelings about the player's friendship and loyalty, and she is able to keep Miss Butter. As she does so, Jack brings up the downside, announcing he lost his eye. Petra says that his new eyepatch looks "pretty awesome".

Jack voices his wonder about why Petra was chosen. She says that it is because she's the "fan-favorite," to which Jack doesn't agree with. When Petra asks who else it could be, Jack looks to Lukas in the background and suggests it is him. The video shows a scene where Lukas is riding on a horse with Jesse, complete with slow-motion and music. After this, Petra shows her surprise to it, and Jack suggests they change the subject. He mentions that the viewer just picked her "for this choice". In response, Petra complains about how it was only because Lukas wasn't the other choice until the short ends.

(A group of Prismarine Foes approach Jesse's gang in the Sea Temple treasure room.)

Petra: There are so many of them.

(Nurm screams. Jack draws his sword.)

Jack: Stay behind me, Nurm!

(Jesse's Prismarine Gauntlet glows. Romeo, in his Prismarine Colossus form, breaks through the wall.)

Jesse: Oh Jeeze. Big hand! Very big!

(Romeo walks up to Jesse and greets her.)

Romeo: WHY, HELLO.

Jesse: Uh, hi.

Romeo: DIE, NOW.

(Romeo tries to kill Jesse, who dodges.)

Jesse: Whoa, too close.

Petra: My sword!

(Petra is dangling over a ledge, trying to reach her sword.)

Petra: Ugh, I can almost reach it!

(Jack struggles to protect Nurm and "Vos" from a group of attacking Prismarine Foes)

Jack: Don't worry! I've got it!

(Jesse is left with a decision)

(Jesse rushes over to Jack, blocking the Prismarine Foe's attack with a sword while Jack, Nurm, and "Vos" retreat to the water.)

Jesse: I got you, Jack!

Jack: Come on, let's get out of here.

Petra: No!

(Romeo destroys the platform Petra is dangling on, causing Petra to fall into the water.)

Petra: Miss Butter! All that time enchanting down the drain.

Director: ... and cut. Okay, let's get ready for the next scene. Ten-minute break!

Jack (to unnamed character, with British accent): And I said darling you can't mine diamond ore with that...

Director: Jack, camera!

Jack: Uh, of course. (coughs, switches accent) Are the Marauding Hordes of Cutthroat Canyon getting you down? Are your fingers frozen clutching the rocks of Spider Peak Mountain? You need Jack's survival--

Director: Jack! This is the choice interview!

Jack: Oh, right, right. Thank you for choosing to save me today. I would never tell Petra this, but I think we can both agree that I was clearly the superior choice. All those crazy adventures you're having as Jesse, this story you've been experiencing, the choices you make affect it, shape it. Even a little choices have surprisingly large impacts. Maybe you've seen pictures of me with an eyepatch. Yeah, that doesn't happen now. Because of your choice to save me, I get to keep both eyes, and might I say I'm very fond of you for it, friend.

Petra: Here we go again. Not everyone picked you.

Jack: I mean, no, not statistically, but I think that statistically, we can all agree that the people who chose me are probably...

Petra: Just--

Jack: ... very smart, charismatic...

Petra: They picked you one time, okay? It was your first episode. It was... it was beginner's luck. But it's cool; it was kind of a pity choice, don't you think?

Jack: I... what?

Petra: Yeah. Because you're kind of, I mean, you know...

Jack: What?

Petra: Uh... old?

Jack: Oh, no, hang on, that's a low blow.

Petra: Don't get grumpy. Jack...? Jack?

Jack: Oh, whoa, what's that? I can't hear you with my old ears! Anyway, what I was trying to say before this set became a hostile environment is that because it's your story, it's driven by your choices. And I think that's pretty lit. Which is slang, that I know. I used because I'm hip. No matter what some people say. Choices matter. Jack out.

Petra: Aw, come on, I said I was sorry!

(Jesse rushes over to Petra, pulls her up, and helps Petra retrieve her sword. Romeo destroys the platform, and the two fall into the water. Nearby, a Prismarine Foe hits Jack in his "bad eye.")

"Vos": Jack!

Jack: I'm... okay!

Petra: I'm so sorry.

Jack: Got my bad eye. Ack.

Director: ... and cut! Alright everyone, let's get set for the next scene. It's the big finale with the Admin!

Petra: Oh, hi! Hey, thanks for choosing to save me. The people behind the scenes at Telltale have asked me to talk to you for a little bit about the whole making choices thing in this game and how every one of them affects the story you experience. As a hero Jesse, you just chose to save me! Which was an awesome choice, by the way. Love it.

Petra: So, anyway, by choosing to save me, it means my feelings about your loyalty and our friendship are really good, and I'm gonna want to hang out with you. Plus, bonus, I get to keep my awesome sword, Miss Butter! Who knows when that'll come in handy. Of course, it does mean that Jack, err--

Jack: I lost my eye!

Petra: I was gonna say that your depth perception isn't what it used to be, but you got to admit, that thing makes you look pretty awesome.

Jack: ... I guess. I still don't know why they chose you.

Petra: I do. Fan-favorite, baby!

Jack: Fan-favorite? That's a little far.

Petra: Well, no offense, but who else would it be?

Jack: Well...

Petra: What? Who?

Jack: Lukas?

Petra: What? Seriously? You think he has more fans than me?

Jack: Let's maybe just change subjects. People just picked you for this choice! That's really exciting. Right?

Petra: Yeah, yeah, probably because I wasn't up against stupid Lukas. Stupid, charming, perfect Lukas!

Jack: Oh, I shouldn't have said anything.

• Craft My Story is not canon to the game.
  • The Craft My Story videos are the only official content not created as episodes. They are a spin-off of the original game, in which the characters are actors/actresses.
• In the background, several interesting things can be seen.
  • There are several of the male Jesses talking to each other. Female Jesse can also be seen chatting to Lukas in the background.
  • One of the male Jesses is signing autographs with the unnamed character that appeared in "A Block and a Hard Place" after Reuben (Pig)'s death.
  • Romeo is shown as a regular human, practicing stunt work with several unnamed people.
    • The human face of Romeo later appeared in "Above and Beyond".
  • Prismarine Foes are revealed to be acted by humans, and the prismarine colossus is revealed to be a non-living structure.
  • Nurm is revealed to be a virtual actor, as he disappears right after the cut in "Choose Jack!".
• It was said by Eric Stirpe that Reuben (Pig) also lives in the "Craft My Story" universe.
