Beacontown is a large town and location in Minecraft: Story Mode, led by Jesse and first seen in "Hero in Residence".

Beacontown is located somewhere in The Overworld. The Order Hall is found in this location. At the end of "Below the Bedrock", it is shown that the town is located near the Old Order's Temple.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Beacontown" was revealed during a Twitch stream at E3 2017.
  • Stampy Cat, Stacy Plays, and Wink were confirmed to be residents of Beacontown, not visitors. [1]
  • Eric Stirpe confirmed that until the end of episode 4 in Season 1 there was not Beacontown yet. [2]
    • He also confirmed that it was named Beacontown at the end of Ep 4 and the name was just never spoken aloud until S2e1.[3]
    • Most of that building happened in the time skip between seasons.[3]
  • Beacontown is far enough from BoomTown/Redstonia that it’s inconvenient to go frequently, near enough that it’s not impossible to go occasionally.[4]
  • The currency in Beacontown is primarily based on bartering, with iron ingots, diamonds, and emeralds serving as common forms of currency.[4]
  • Beacontown is connected to every other town via a network of subways and mail tubes — including other worlds accessed through the Portal Network.[5]
